How to Make and Use Click to Tweet Graphics – It’s Easy!

Have you noticed those cute Click to Tweet graphics that are popping up on blogs?  The ones that use the blogger’s brand colors and fonts?  Have you wondered how to make them and how to actually get them to tweet when someone clicks on them?  Today’s post includes a video tutorial that will show you exactly how to do this.

Why Click to Tweet?

Before we get to the video, why would you want to use click-to-tweet in your posts?  There are several main reasons:

• People are more likely to tweet your posts if you make it easy for them to do so. And you can’t get much easier than a pre-built tweet.
• Having the tweet right in the middle of your text is a visual prompt to readers. Yes, they could click on your share buttons, but they have to take the initiative to do that. And the click-to-tweet is right there. It’s hard to ignore.
• A click-to-tweet box, especially if it’s a pretty graphic that builds on your brand, breaks up the wall of text and makes your post easier to read.

Tools for Click to Tweet Graphics

You will use two online tools to make and use click to tweet graphics. Both have free and paid versions, but the free versions are fine for making click to tweet graphics. The first is Canva, which you’ll use to create the graphic. The second is Clicktotweet.com. This is where you will create your click to tweet link to attach to your graphic.
